LEGO Education Increasing Its Interest In STEAM Learning

The transition from being a “big fish” at the end of elementary school to the role of a smaller fish in the expanded lake of middle and high school can be an emotional challenge. Students are feeling vulnerable and the effects of any perceived failure can seem magnified. The increase in negative emotions arises in subjects that have a reputation for being “hard,” most often falling into the “STEM” categories: science, technology, engineering, and math.
